These are the images from Ancestry.com and FamilySearch for James Rampley and his family in the 1850 U. S. Census. We'll have complete citations for them in the newsletter issue which will go out later this week.
Finding the one on FamilySearch required a manual search because the name was not in the index in any way that I could find it.

The original census is not great--but it pays to read as many images as one can when they are like this. Stay tuned for the issue discussing this census entry.
It's not on these images (because I didn't include it), but it looks like only John A. and Elizabeth attended school within the census year.
